About Olga

Since August 2016 Olga has served as a Instructor of Music in the School of Music.

She was born in Krasnoyarsk, Russia and graduated from the Moscow State Conservatory in 2004 and finished her Ph.D. program there in 2012.

During her career Ms. Smola received stipends from the program “New Names,” a part of the Bistrizkaya Fund and from the Fund of Culture of Russian Federation.

In the period of time from 2002-2004, Olga has been a member of the American Chamber Music ensemble “Amirus,” as well as the faculty member of the USA-Portugal International Music Festival.

 In 2005, Olga won the 1st prize at the 2nd Taneev’s International Chamber music competition as a member of “Alliance Trio.”

Her solo touring credits include performances in Monaco, Spain, Belgium, Croatia, France, England, Azerbaijan and throughout the Russian Federation.

In 2006-2007 and in 2012 she played solo tours in the United States. She has repeatedly performed in the Russian Embassy in Washington, as well as the United States Embassy in Moscow.

She plays solo and ensemble concerts in different styles of music: classical, jazz, rock, electronic music as well as the ViolinDJ and sound producer.
